I had always been curious about the Liverpool Legends show. When the Beatles came on the scene in the early 60s in America we all “gasped” and couldn’t believe our eyes. We thought surely the end was near and we should not listen to them. Seriously. On a cruise a couple of years ago there was an evening show by a group singing all Beatles songs. We were surprised how “mild” the lyrics were because, to be truthful, I had never really listened to the lyrics. George Harrison’s sister, Louise put this group together and she does a Q and A at the end of the intermission which is quite interesting. A lot of their songs have become classics. One, called “Yesterday” has been recorded by more than 4,000 recording artists.
The first half of the show was very enjoyable; however, the second half not so much. It was more “out there” with props geared more to mysticism. The songs were not as familiar to me. I don’t know how I feel about recommending this show, so will leave that up to you. The four guys are quite talented on guitars, with a total of 12 guitars on stage that they took turns playing.
